2. COVID–19 and Influenza Returns

Return information was sent out the week of July 6th explaining how to return your COVID and Influenza vaccines.  Please ensure the returns are submitted by August 31, 2026 to ensure products are removed from your facility prior to fall respiratory 2026-2027 season.  If you have any questions regarding returns, please contact VOC @ VOC-opsDesk@GNB.CA

 3. Respiratory Syncytial virus (RSV) and Pneumococcal Vaccines

Abrysvo and Prevnar 20 have a long expiry date.  Unless the vaccines have been involved in a cold chain excursion, they should not be returned.  These vaccines remain viable and safe for use until the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

 4. Vaccine against Mpox - UPDATE

Unlike past recommendations, where a 4-week interval was required between two live vaccines, the mpox vaccine (Imvamune) now has a different recommendation.

New recommendation: Imvamune® vaccination can be given concurrently (i.e., same day) or at any time before or after other live or non-live vaccines.
