National Nursing Week 2026

May 8, 2026   ▪   CNNB News & Announcements

National Nursing Week will be celebrated May 11–17, 2026, under the theme The Power of Nurses to Transform Health.” This is an opportunity to recognize the vital role registered nurses and nurse practitioners (RNs/NPs) play in shaping and strengthening health care across Canada through their leadership, knowledge, and expertise.

RNs/NPs consistently earn the trust of the public; trust that is reinforced through a strong commitment to professional self-regulation. The College of Nursing of New Brunswick is proud to support RNs/NPs in delivering safe and competent care, while upholding standards that protect the public.

As health professional regulation continues to evolve, the College remains committed to adapting and advancing to ensure we are responsive, effective, and accountable in meeting our legislated responsibilities.

During National Nursing Week and every day in between, we celebrate and thank all RNs/NPs for their dedication and the meaningful impact they make every day in transforming health and improving the health and well-being of New Brunswickers.

Happy National Nursing Week!
