Honouring Indigenous Nurses Day – April 10, 2026

April 7, 2026   ▪   CNNB News & Announcements

Indigenous nurses play a vital and irreplaceable role in our healthcare system. Beyond their clinical expertise, they advance health equity, cultural understanding, and holistic, patient-centered care rooted in strong connections to land, language, and community.

Their leadership and advocacy continue to inspire meaningful change, reminding us of the importance of diversity, respect, and culturally safe care.

The College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB), in alignment with our strategic commitment to reconciliation continues to partner with a local Indigenous Nurses Advisory Circle toward fostering a more inclusive, respectful and equitable care in New Brunswick.

To all Indigenous nurses, thank you for your compassion, dedication, and invaluable contributions to transforming health and advancing justice.

Happy Indigenous Nurses Day.
