On September 30, Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, CNNB’s office will be closed. Truth and reconciliation is an ongoing journey, one that calls on each of us to deepen our understanding and take meaningful action toward building relationships grounded in respect, equity, and understanding.
As the regulator of registered nurses and nurse practitioners in New Brunswick, CNNB is committed to addressing Indigenous-specific racism in health care. We continue to work toward a health-care system where Indigenous Peoples receive anti-racist, culturally safe, and equitable care, free from discrimination.
We invite you to take time on September 30 and throughout the year to engage in meaningful learning, reflection, and community events. We also encourage you to explore CNNB’s Standard on Cultural Safety and other resources to support ongoing learning and action.
Together, we can contribute to a future grounded in respect, understanding, and reconciliation.
